| Dennis has been playing drums since the age of 16. Having been a drummer in numerous bands over the year and playing jobs all over Wisconsin. As Dennis was growing up there would be music at birthday parties, get togethers and family functions usually provided by his uncle Eddy on concertina and Roger on the drums. A big influence for Dennis was his cousins' band "Anny and the Playboys", which played a lot of the local weddings and functions in the area. They even played during Dennis's wedding. Wanting to play the drums he bought a set and joined his first band - the "CW Voyagers" from the Fillmore area. Later Dennis joined "Justy and the Keybenders", which he play with for five years. In 1989, Dennis joined "Carol and the Keynotes". Dennis has helped out numerous bands over the years. This list includes the "Normy Dogs", Brian Kluever, Ed Schneider, "The Mountaineers", Ray Konkle, "Chuck's Family Three", "Arty Minz and the Countryman". He also has a great family; his wife Joann - who is very supportive, a daughter Beth, and two sons, Peter and Matthew - both of whom play guitar. Dennis and his family live northeast of Kewauskum. |
